Marxism after Modernity is concerned with the ways in which Marxist theory has responded to the major social, economic and technological transformations of capitalism which have occurred in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. Each section begins with a review of Marx's writing on the theme under discussion, and then proceeds to examine the relationship of postmodernist thought to his critiques of capitalism, bourgeois culture, ideology and revolution.
